HTP Mentor Training Course

The Winter 2017 Mentor Training Course will begin in January!  

This 10 week course is a combination of online training and live coaching calls. 

(As of January 2016, this advanced practice training is a requirement for being a mentor in the Healing Touch Program.)

• Prerequisite: HT Level 5 and above      
• Length: 10 consecutive weeks; 1:15 hours per week + homework of additional 1-2 hours per week
• Session 1:  January 19, 26, Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 March 1, 8, 15, 22
• Tuition: $475 (payment plans available)
• CE contact hours: 27

SEATTLE CLINIC.

This October we will once again see an outpouring of compassion as the Seattle/King County clinic works to provide dental, medical, and vision care for 4,000 people in four days.  They need doctors, nurses, and dentists, as well as other health-care professionals.  Many more folks are needed as support personnel.  It takes a lot to provide services for 1,000 people a day.  Maybe you have computer skills and can check people in.  Or you can be an escort. There are many, many roles available

Lunch is provided!  There are lots of shifts.  This year you don't even have to be there at 5 AM every day!

If you aren't available October 27-30, you can come on a day before or after to set up and tear down the clinic.

Traumas bond us to persons, places, and events that continue to exact a toll on our energy and our concentration. Unresolved polarities of trauma -- fear, shame and anger -- are like restrictive chains that tie us to the past.

Celebrating Keela

Keela's family and friends continue to deal with all those difficult details that follow her passing.

Her family has said that Keela did not want them to have to deal with arranging a  memorial service, and that her birthday celebration last Fall was her final celebration as she knew her time was short.

That being said, the Healing Touch community will plan some sort of gathering like a picnic dessert potluck in a park or something.  Some of Keela's closest friends are working on that and we'll keep you all informed.

Keela completed her earthly journey early this morning and is now with the Ancestors.  She was a guiding light in Healing Touch in the Pacific Northwest and will be greatly missed by her many friends and grateful students.

As yet there is no word about a service, but we will keep you informed when we hear.

May light and love surround her as she enters the Great Mystery and may she be filled with peace.

About Keela

We received news today that Keela Marshall, one of our founding Healing Touch leaders and instructors, has taken a fall and broken her hip.  Surgery does not appear to be an option at this point as she is so very frail.  She is currently at Swedish downtown.  Please send loving prayers and light-filled energy her way.  We'll keep you informed as to what is going on as we hear.

Not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please supervise children and keep them safe. Old rodeo grounds and opposite side of river is off limits. Dogs on leash at all times and not allowed in Longhouse. Please Use Doggie Bags. If your dog barks, please camp a good distance from longhouse. People sleeping inside the longhouse must remove belongings during the day (prior to breakfast) to make room for activities. Honor these grounds and keep all camping areas clean and help clean up longhouse after gathering. Smokers must use butt cans or ash trays. Please leave all weapons, including knives locked in your vehicle. No public display of these weapons is allowed.  Security will be on duty.

INTRODUCING DONNA DUFF:

Donna will be teaching a Level 1 course in University Place this month. Here's a little more about her:

Donna Duff is a Licensed Practical Nurse, specializing in Geriatric Nursing for over 30 years. Her multiple certifications as a healer extend as a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner/Instructor, a Licensed Massage Therapist and a Neuromuscular Therapist.

Donna has taught Healing Touch for extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Internationally in areas throughout New Zealand, South Africa, Peru, and Australia. She is one of the earliest graduating Instructors in the Healing Touch Program, who is qualified to teach Upper Levels in the Healing Touch Program. She is dedicated to the service of healing, and her experiences in Geriatric Nursing. One of her mission is to travel and bring about healing to all she meets. Donna, is a true ambassador to the Healing Touch Program for spreading love and light around the world.
