TRIP TO THE HOLY LAND
I am writing to see if you are interested in joining me as I take a group to St. George's College, Jerusalem, in 2012. Having stayed there many times, myself, I can assure you that it is safe, comfortable (private or shared room with private bath and great food) and that the tour leaders are knowledgeable and well versed in all that has gone on in the historical past as well as what is going on presently. The college is set in a garden oasis, within short walking distance to most of the primary places to see in Jerusalem.
1) St. George's College, "Palestine of Jesus" course, May 23-June 5, 2012. Cost: $2905, which includes all meals, accommodations and fees.2) Healing Touch Level One, June 6-8, 2012. 6th/7th: course work at St. George's 8th: spent in local hospitals using HT techniques. One does not have to take the "Palestine of Jesus" course to take the HT class and vice versa.3) Optional side trips, following the HT class, for those not taking "Palestine of Jesus" course. Costs to be determined for HT class and side trips. There will be opportunities for me to take those interested to some of my favorite sights. St. George's College is a one block-plus walk to the American Colony Hotel (where all the news people and politicians hang out) and a five minute walk to the Damascus Gate, one of the major entrances into the Old Walled City. We will meet with Naim Ateek (if he is not out of town) and the Sabeel staff as well as other notable persons of peace: Christian, Jewish and Muslim. Depending on what is on the calendar at the time, we will be able to attend musical performances and do other things of cultural note.Go to St. George's College Jerusalem (http://www.sgcjerusalem.org/) to find out more about the classes and the college.Go to Healing Touch Program (www.healingtouchprogram.com/) to Level I class (in the section on Classes) to find out about the class.more I urge you to start saving your shekels so you can join me for this wonderful experience. Any questions, email me or call: 503-230-2331.I am working on getting airfare estimates, which are separate from the course costs. Frequent Flyer miles are good for such a long trip. If you want to be kept informed of the costs and of the plans as they are finalized, please let me know. If this is not your cup of mint tea (the specialty there) that is fine, just let me know so I don't bother you with additional emails.Shalom, Salaam, Peace! Constance

INTUITIVE MIND COURSE, LEVEL 1
offered in Seattle at Northwest Hospital
January 21-22, 2012
Nancy Rebecca and Becca Gaughan, instructors
This is the foundational course that teaches you the beginning Mystery School Techniques. This course is 16 hours in length and taught in one full weekend. This is the class for everyone. This may be your very first exposure to meditation and energy work, or you may have taken spiritual energy courses for years. The beauty about these techniques is that they meet you right where you are in your awareness and then take you just a little further. This is thought of as the beginning class, however do not confuse that with a beginners class.
I can summarize it very easily. A student came to the first class 10 years ago and said, “I have been doing spiritual work for 25 years and I am here to see if you can teach me something that I do not already know!” Then on Sunday at day’s end of the workshop, she raised her hand and said, “I have been doing spiritual work for 25 years and after this class I realize this is the first time I have actually done spiritual work!”
As the participant you will be able to:
Learn a conscious, active form of meditation that you can do anywhere.
Learn to cleanse and repair your own energy field.
Experience conscious awareness of your own energetic space to manage and enhance your life and boundaries.
Use your Intuition to “read” your own energetic field.
You will go home knowing your Intuitive Style
Emotional Memories (learn to finally be able to take the energy out of them so you can move forward in life).
Learn how to read your own past lives.
Really know what grounding means.
Our Instructors can “see” your energy field while you meditate providing you great insight into your intuitive style.

Mentoring, Accreditation: Another Point of View…………
The only Constant is Change
When I was looking for a schools of nursing to attend, one of the first questions I asked, “Is it accredited?” Many people asked the same question when they are exploring training or educational opportunities. HTP has an excellent solid program. The natural evolution and progression is to become accredited. Becoming accredited is a lot of work, effort and costly; but it brings respect and trust. With the successful spread of HT across the planet we need to follow the natural progression of having accreditation. Do I like more paper work? No! Do I understand and support the need for these processes? YES! In the last few classes I have taught or been in, some nurses have expressed their appreciation of the ANCC accreditation. When we get the next national accreditation, our work will be supported by more administrators; bring more respect to our work and our Healing Touch Program. It is a lot of work and costs for HTP, but it will benefit each of us as well as the program, the health care system and most of all the clients/patients.
Standardizing the mentoring process came about from an OBSERVED need. Some students were coming to Level 5 very well prepared and others had inadequate mentoring, leaving them unprepared for Level 5. This slowed their progress down costing them time and money. This was unacceptable. Janna Moll spent 3 years developing an excellent mentorship course to bring training and assistance to the mentors, to new mentors and standardized the process so that all the students were adequately mentored and prepared. The Qualified Mentor course is well thought-out, has a lot of depth, good handouts and forms to assist the mentors. All Qualified Mentors can set their own fees; there is a suggested amount, but one can set their own fee, have a sliding scale or what will work for the student and mentor. People chose to mentor, but it does take time and people’s time is valuable as is their experience. Other professions and occupations charge for mentoring, supervision, internship or whatever it may be called. In many professions there are supervisory groups where a practitioner can bring a challenging situation or one they would like advice with from more experienced providers. The fees for these groups often start at $75 per hour up. Janet Mentgen understood the value of mentoring and set the process.
The pilot test is to help standardize the final test itself. This is common in most testing situations; developing a fair test is a lot of work; many HTCP’s, HT elders and HTCI’s have been working on this for over a year. The pilot test will have questions which will be discarded; that’s why it is called a pilot test; that is the purpose of the pilot test, to weed out unfair or poorly stated questions. This will be the first standard test in energy medicine. I have been asked a number of times to write or review questions for nursing tests/broads, as is done in many professions and occupations. This is an entry level test. It is not designed to make anyone fail. Yes, some may have to take it over, but lots of people take tests over, many attorneys take their broads 2-3 times before passing. Set your intention to pass the exam and do the suggested studying prior to taking the test. HTP has provided a Study Guide.
Our Community Colleges have a process where you have to present valid identification before they will proctor you. There is a $25 fee, but this saves you having to travel to a site to take the test. It is much more convenient to take a test in your own community. In other professions, people have to travel to test sites, costing airfare, lodging, food and often the test is more than one day.
The Healing Touch Program is not the same as some of our unethical financial/banking corporations; there are ethical banking/financial corporations. HTP wants you to succeed and have our beautiful work accepted and available to more people. This is about having our work, this solid excellent program respected, getting Healing Touch into main steam
Health care with respect & integrity, considering the well being of the public and people getting paid for their work, time and education properly.
Respectfully with love,
Keela Marshall, RN, CNP, HTCP, HTCI
