YOUR TRUSTY PUBLISHER

It’s a bit confusing when these HT Newsletters seem to come from Sister Dorothy’s e-mail address but Christina Brugman is the publisher. It’s some peculiarity of the Blogspot Gods. So, if you have an article, letter, announcement, or whatever, send them to Christina at cebrug@aol.com or HTSeattle@aol.com to have them included. Christina tries to get something out once a month, but it depends on what’s time-sensitive and how many submissions come her way.

HOT TIME IN TEXAS
Dawn Warnaca

Remember the Alamo? To be honest, I remember the line, I know there was some kind of battle fought and that famous people died there, but that was about all I remembered from Elementary School US history class.

The Healing Touch International Conference was in San Antonio a couple of weeks ago. Mike and I both attended and wanted to have a few days of vacation in the sun, along with our participation at the conference. We arrived three days early and had time to go to the top of the Tower of Americas (reminded me a lot of the Seattle Space Needle - except for the bats.... hundreds and hundreds of flying bats and it was DAY TIME. Only small part of me was disappointed to miss the batman like experience of walking among them - we were not allowed outside). We feasted, walked and took the little boat tour along the River Walk, shopped at Market Square, and yes... visited the Alamo. There is much to be felt as you visit this site - where freedom from oppression had such a costly and yet powerfully inspirational toll. The muted colors of stone and Oak trees are thoughtfully separated from the glare of modern vending machines. A building code, put in place protects this site from future encroachment from even shadows - all buildings must be built in such a way that the sun can always shine on the Alamo.

We also visited the Natural Bridge Caverns and took the basic tour that gives the history of college students spelunking on private property (with permission) and discovering this amazing underground beauty. We were so impressed, that we turned right around and joined the next tour into another part of the caverns. We also enjoyed the pool and were more than a little shocked when walking from the lounge chair to the pool (not very far) just about blistered the bottoms of our feet! Flip flops allowed for a much more graceful entrance into the water : ).

I got to attend my first Instructor meeting. There were about 80 present, and it was a wonderful gathering time that introduced physically the faces, with voices and printed names I’ve become familiar with from Energy Magazine and phone call conferences . We had a workshop on the business end of teaching, but I think what I loved the most was being in a room full of folks that love the energy of Energy Work.

Mike got roped into volunteering (by his trusty wife), and I often had to use the modern technology of texting to find him... hauling books for the book vendor, or cutting streamers for the opening ceremony. I wish I had the picture to attach of Mike, holding the streamer up to his nose for a measurement tool. Mike was not the only man at the conference, though women did outnumber them - except at the Men’s breakfast set up by Healing Touch Professional Association. It was very cool to see over 20 men gathered together in obvious enjoyment of not only the food, company, but getting to know each other and where they were in their journey with Healing Touch.

Conference was inspiring; my overwhelmingly favorite speaker was Ann Marie Chiasson who spoke on the Ceremony of Healing and gave us all active, easy and fun tools for clearing our own fields in a workshop called Healing the Healer. I was also quite moved to not only hear - but meet Richard Shulman, the musician that wrote First Rites. The four days roared past, with cowboy boots, line dancing, a psychic comic and dress up dinner. We had a blast... wish you were there.

THE MANDALA: THE ART OF AWAKENING

Mandala in Sanskrit means “sacred circle” and is used as a creative process for self–discovery and personal transformation. Using techniques and a modern interpretation developed by Dr. Judith Cornell, you will be guided through the mandala process in a personal journey from darkness into light.

Experience the illuminating process of going within, becoming aware of all that you are. Historically the mandala has been used as a meditative focus--a means of turning inward to stillness and quiet to discover the inner truth about your Self. Meditation, visualization, guided imagery, the use of music and creating the mandala are tools used during this journey. The newly created mandala reflects a practice for centering, self-discovery, healing and growth. This sacred process touches our very soul, our essence and brings us into the Light. No art experience is necessary; the emphasis is on what comes forth. This safe, supportive method is a way to awaken to our inner Truth, Light and Wisdom.

We will come together as a group, look at the history of the mandala, create sacred space, work with our own intentions and create our own mandala as we return to our inner light and awaken.

I invite you to experience the mystery of the mandala.

OPPORTUNITIES FOR GROWTH
Here are a few new resources for the continuing process of personal growth.

1. Sister Joan Chittister, a Benedictine, has started “Monasteries of the Heart” which she describes as “a movement of seekers interested in becoming part of a community of seekers, either online or with others of their own choosing, who form to support one another in shaping their spiritual lives around Benedictine values and priorities.

“Groups and individuals will be devoted to Benedictine values but not necessarily bound by geographic stability. It is a monastery “without walls.” Communities may gather for prayer, discussion, and reflection — in families, parishes, neighborhoods, intentional communities, prisons, and on the internet.

“Monasteries of the Heart will also honor the enduring hermit tradition in a new way in a society in which great numbers of people, both young and elderly, live alone with little or no particularized support for their spiritual life.

“Monasteries of the Heart is especially mindful of celebrating beauty, honoring the sacred and poetic word, and promoting nonviolence as a way of life and method of social change.

“Monasteries of the Heart is a response to requests to develop a new form of Benedictine spirituality for a new face of society. “

You need not be Catholic or even Christian to pursue this path. Here is the Website: http://monasteriesoftheheart.org/

2. OK, so sometimes it’s hard to find time to meditate, but don’t we all have ONE MINUTE? I followed up on an article in this month’s Spirituality and Health magazine and decided to give it a try. Check out the website at http://www.onemomentmeditation.com/

There is a charge for the weekly updates and lessons, but subscribers to Spirituality and Health get a 25% discount. I bet that goes if you pick it up on the newsstand.

3. Eckhart Tolle TV is a great resource for those of you who are trying to integrate his philosophy into your lives. I subscribe to his service and download the monthly talks and Q&A sessions to listen to at my leisure. He has interesting topics like Sufism, The Course in Miracles, etc. There are various packages available, including a free trial. https://learnmore.eckharttolletv.com/default.aspx

NEW SCALAR HEALING TECHNIQUE

Over the last several months, I’ve been tweaking and polishing a new way to apply Scalar energies, and I feel it’s now ready to introduction to the public. The technique, which I call “Trans-Scalar Healing,” combines Dr. Valerie Hunt’s Bio-Scalar process along with channeled Circle of Grace guidance from the Brotherhood of Light for grounding and clearing both the meridian and chakra systems, the Temple of Healing process from my own Spiritual Journeys Program, powerful Angelic assistance (intruder releasement and soul retrieval) adopted from Greg McHugh’s book “The New Regression Therapy,” and the Healing Command and witnessing processes from Theta Healing, which includes the assistance of Creator for recreating the highest degree of holistic health and wellness that is appropriate for the client at that time.

This is all described in a detailed 40-page step-by-step manual in .pdf format which is available as a free download from my website – go to www.howardbatie.com and under Physical Healing, click on "Trans-Scalar Healing". The manual’s download link is near the bottom of that page. The manual also includes a sample remote healing session, with the permission of the remote client, of course.

I’ve found that Trans-Scalar Healing is remarkably effective for self-healing, local healing sessions with clients in your office, and especially so for remote healing sessions. I’d like get input from other practitioners who are experienced with providing remote healings. Constructive criticism and helpful suggestions will only help to make it even more beneficial to those who use it and those who receive it.

And I must also mention that in my experience with this technique, working closely with the Angelic Kingdom has significantly strengthened my own intuitive abilities and deepened the trust I have in myself as a spiritual healing facilitator. With this technique, I’ve developed the ability to work blind (no information whatsoever from or about the client other than name and location) and it’s very heartening to constantly receive feedback from remote clients saying “You’re right on!”

Try it for yourself!

In love and light,

Howard Batie

ADVERTISE TOGETHER

Wondering how to advertise your practice?

One idea is to pay for a $495 ad in The Natural Choice Directory – The smallest add is a 2x2 and runs for $495 for the year in print, and on line. If we purchase early, the on-line begins now - this a bit free to feed into the 2012 directory.

Another idea might be to combine a web page - It would be called the Tacoma/Pierce County Healing Touch Team.... we could do a five page web site and each practitioner could have one page. If we had Keela from Seattle, Dawn and Dale from the Tacoma, Sherri from Olympia, HTPA in Lacy, and maybe Anna Marie and Sharon would want to join, and even get Jeannie and Marilyn to join from Idaho

With the $495 for the printed directory ad, we can also advertise 4 events over the course of 2012. If four of us went together, we could each advertise and event....

Ideas abound... anyone else want in on the discussion?

Keela and I are serious about developing an ad campaign and would like to do so in the next month to six weeks.

Please contact Dawn Warnaca at Dwarnca@msn.com or 253 847 6914

PRESENT MOMENT REMINDER
From Eckhart Tolle

Use whatever challenge comes into your life as a kind of fuel for the flame of consciousness. That is done through surrender to what is. Some people may need more of that than others. If you choose presence in your daily life you may not need the drastic challenges.
